Kintaikyō Bridge錦帯橋

Bus from right outside the station, about 15 min

An arched wooden bridge over the Nishiki River, first built in 1673 and rebuilt in wood after a 1950 flood.

Round trip ¥500 (from 1 Sep 2026), or ¥1,550 with the ropeway and castle. You can cross at any time.

Iwakuni Castle岩国城

Cross the bridge, walk 10 min to the ropeway, then 3 min up

A hilltop keep rebuilt in 1962, looking down on Kintaikyō and out to the Inland Sea.

Ropeway 9:00–17:00, ¥900 return; castle 9:00–16:45, ¥350. Both close on 29 Oct and 26 Nov 2026.
