World Heritage bus, about 13 min
The lavishly carved shrine of Tokugawa Ieyasu, a World Heritage site.
9:00–17:00 April–October, 9:00–16:00 November–March; entry closes 30 minutes earlier. ¥1,600, cash only at the counter.
Shinkyō Bridge神橋
About 5 min by bus
A red lacquered bridge over the Daiya River at the entrance to the shrines.
You can walk onto it for ¥300: 8:30–16:30 April–October, 9:30–15:30 November–March.
Kegon Falls華厳の滝
Bus to Chūzenji Onsen, about 40–50 min
A 97 m waterfall below Lake Chūzenji, with an elevator down to the viewing deck.
The elevator runs 8:00–17:00 March–November, 9:00–16:30 December–February. ¥600.
