Midōsuji Line to Dōbutsuen-mae (1 stop), then 6 min
An old-style entertainment district of kushikatsu bars and neon.
The tower there now needs a timed-entry booking for every ticket.
Shitennō-ji四天王寺
About 12 min on foot north
One of Japan’s oldest temples.
Halls 8:30–16:30 (from October until 16:00); central precinct ¥500. The outer grounds are free.
