Nunobiki Falls and Herb Gardens布引の滝・布引ハーブ園
Falls: about 5 min on foot north. Ropeway: about 5 min on foot, west of the station
Waterfalls a few minutes’ walk from the Shinkansen, and a ropeway up to hillside herb gardens over Kobe.
The falls are free. Ropeway with garden entry ¥2,500 return; first car 9:30. Closed for upkeep 23 Jan–12 Feb 2027.
Weathercock House, Kitano風見鶏の館
About 15 min on foot, west
A red-brick house built around 1909 for a German merchant, the symbol of Kobe’s old foreign quarter.
9:00–17:00, last entry 16:45; ¥500. Closed the 3rd Tuesday of the month.
Kobe waterfront and Nankinmachiメリケンパーク・南京町
Subway 2 min to Sannomiya, then the Kaigan Line 3 min to Minato Motomachi
The harbour front, with Port Tower and Harborland, and Chinatown a few streets inland.
Free to walk. Do Nankinmachi, Meriken Park and Harborland as one loop, best toward dusk.
