• Exits: 1 Kiyamachi South · 2 Garden (SE corner) · 3 Kotocross (NE corner) · 4 Takashimaya East · 5 Takashimaya (west side) · 6 Kyoto Central Inn (NW corner) · 8 Ikezen Building · 9 Shinkyōgoku · 10 Teramachi (Fujii Daimaru) · 11 Fuyachō / Tominokōji · 12 Yanaginobamba / Tominokōji. There is no Exit 7 on Hankyu’s map.
• Exit hours differ: Exits 1–5 open from about 4:30 to about 24:40; Exits 11 and 12 only 6:45–22:30.
• Yasaka Shrine is about 8 minutes on foot (the shrine’s figure), east over Shijō Ōhashi.
• HANKYU Tourist Information Center Kyoto-kawaramachi is by the Central gate. The Central gate has no staff 18:30–19:30.

Kyoto-kawaramachi · Central and East gates

The station runs underground along Shijō-dōri, with two ticket gates, Central and East. Exits 1–3, at the east end, come up by Kiyamachi and the Shijō-Kawaramachi crossing: the side for the Kamo River and, across Shijō Ōhashi, Keihan Gion-shijō. Exits 4 and 5 lead to Takashimaya.
